What to expect

Being the ‘newbie’ at church can feel a little awkward. Maybe for you that brings back unpleasant memories of having a nametag slapped on your shirt or being asked to stand up and introduce yourself to a room of strange people.

So, here is what you can expect at a GTF service:

• A comfortable, casual atmosphere • Real people pursuing a real relationship with God and each other • An engaging worship experience with modern music • Messages that are relevant to your daily life • Engaging Sunday School classes for children and middle school students

Beliefs

We believe in all the basic doctrines of conservative evangelical Christianity. On doctrinal issues which have historically divided believers into denominational groups we seek to find Biblically sound middle ground.

In essential beliefs — we have unity.

There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.  Ephesians 4:4-6
In non-essential beliefs — we have liberty.

Receive one who is weak in the faith, but not to disputes over doubtful things. Who are you to judge another’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. So then each of us shall give account of himself to God. Do you have faith? Have it to yourself before God.  Romans 14:1, 4, 12, 22
In all our beliefs — we show charity.

And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.  1 Corinthians 13:2
